Terms of service

Last updated 5 November 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Outpublished ("Outpublished", "we") for using outpublished.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use Outpublished for a company, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.

The service

Outpublished reads public web pages, tells you when competitor sites publish new pages, and compares them with your own site to show which pages to write new, which of yours to improve, and which you already cover. The verdicts and dates are automated estimates. They can be wrong or incomplete, and they are not advice. You decide what to publish.

Your account

  • Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One account is for one person or team that you control. Do not share logins with people outside your organisation or resell access.
  • You must be at least 16 and able to enter a contract.

Acceptable use

Use Outpublished for your own content and SEO work, fairly and within the law. When you use it, you agree not to:

  • break the law, harass anyone, or use it to collect personal data;
  • get around plan limits, security or billing, or test the service for weaknesses without our written permission;
  • overload the service, use it to attack or overload other sites, or ask us to read pages a site blocks or keeps out through robots.txt;
  • copy, resell or republish its data in bulk, or use it to build a competing product;
  • upload anything harmful, or anything you have no right to use.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account (see "Ending things" below).

Plans, trial and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle takes the payment, issues your invoice and receipt, charges any sales tax or VAT, and handles billing questions and refunds. When you buy a plan you also accept Paddle's buyer terms.

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card. After that you choose a paid plan. Prices shown on the pricing page are in US dollars and include any taxes, which Paddle takes care of at checkout. You pay the price you see. Paid plans renew each month or each year, as you chose, until you cancel. You can cancel in Settings or from the link in any Paddle receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are covered in Refunds and cancelling.

Black Friday deal. From 20 November to 4 December 2026 (23:59 UTC), or until 150 accounts have it, you can buy any plan at 40% off. People on our email list can buy from 18 November. You keep the deal price for as long as your subscription stays active, including if you change plan. If you cancel and come back later, you pay the normal price.

We may change prices for future periods and will tell you at least 30 days before it affects you. This does not raise a Black Friday deal price while your subscription stays active.

Your content and third-party content

You keep ownership of what you enter (your site address, notes, corrections). You give us permission to store and process it to run the service for you. Pages we read from the web belong to their owners. We use them to produce analysis for you, and you are responsible for how you use what you learn, including respecting other people's copyright when you write your own pages.

Outpublished, its software, design and data are ours. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is active.

Availability

We work to keep Outpublished running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some competitor sites block automated readers; we record that and do not work around it, so coverage of a site is not guaranteed.

Ending things

You can stop using Outpublished and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms the service or other people, or has unpaid charges, and we will tell you why where we can. If we stop offering the service we will give notice and refund any prepaid period.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost traffic or rankings, or decisions you make from our verdicts. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email you at least 14 days ahead; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator is established, and its courts have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to use your own courts.
